I designed three of the sections to have a "font" and a "back". The front is undamaged, the back has been shattered and "peeled off" with the face of the damaged section falling forward. I'm trying to figure out how to make the sloughed off section look realistic.

Are you planning to use the fronts 'in place' against the backs, then drop down? Sounds like, but not sure. The downed sloughs should probably be broken up, but you also seem intent on not doing so, though cracks and grooves might work. There should be debris around the edge; maybe a surrounding rockpile ridge around. That sort of thing? Doug |

I will use the "complete" sections as undamaged and flip them around if they get smashed during a game and then put out the flattened sections as needed. Generally, I'd start the scenario with the flat sections already out (denoted massive a pre-attack bombardment. I do intend upon breaking up the sections and filling the gaps with rubble (spray foam and cut off chunks of the pink foam sheets. These will replace the sheets I have used to front the hive before. Do the vertical Hive sections looked much approved? I like them much better, myself.

These are what the damaged faces will look like. I will break up the sloughed off sections, in two axis and make rubble scatter terrain. Should I but some big craters embedded into the sloughed sections
