So, The Dip Technique is satisfactory, I presume? It is really wonderful for buildings, as well as miniatures. On buildings, it yields a weathered, wind-blown, dirty, weathered look. It is not a do-all-to-end-all, but it's very close, IMO… >;-) Cheers! |

I actually use more of a stain and wipe technique. I picked too dark a stain color. I'm happy so far. What else do folks think? |

Holy moly, I hadn't realized how big it was! I think it looks really good. You said the stain was too dark, but it looks just about right to me. It creates a lot of interesting shadows. The first picture in your last post looks a bit like a Bob Ross mountain brought to life, I think. |
