This was something they drilled into us quite rigorously when I went to jump school. You WILL come down. You can not prevent it, you can only prepare for it. You can't avoid landing. It's not one of your options. Those who pick their feet up to try to avoid the ground still wind up hitting the ground, they just land on their butts and break their backs. But then there was the one guy who came down on the wires. He didn't reach the ground …. -Mark
