Wow, how does a ship and its crew escape from the authorities so many times?

That surely seems almost impossible.

Clearly, security around such matters seems overly lax.

Love the idea of the fake paperwork, and spoofing transponders though. If someone can do this so easily on a single planet, just imagine how easy it will be to do across galaxies and numerous star systems.

It is possible that bribery was involved.

An interstellar campaign could also be fun. The PCs could be either the ship crew or the authorities. We'd have to decide what the ship was doing illegally -- unregistered (and, more important, untaxed) asteroid mining, maybe?
