Playing operation Crusader campaign soon and need some more modern tanks for my EW 8th Army to represent the better equipped units (already have a platoon of Matildas).

Currently only Valentine models in 28mm are without sand skirts (Blitzkrieg and Warlord). For the life of me I can't find any pics of desert Valentines operating without skirts.

Anyone have any pics of desert Valentines without skirts?

Same goes for Crusaders without skirts in the desert – yes there is a Rubicon kit but sold out from usual stockists here in Australia and NZ and their online store doesn't allow Australian orders.

(And no modelling is not an option, as it would just result in my 7 year old learning a whole heap of new totally inappropriate words!)

The only photos I've seen without skirts were units in England (training / parade) or a knocked out tanks that had been pressed into German service (in Tunisia?) – of course the Germans may have removed the skirts.
The Blitzkrieg Crusader has skirts – see the Perry Miniatures site. It might worth asking if the Valentine skirts are an option not shown.

Fairly sure desert valentines should have skirts.
Just had a flick through my very old copy of valentine in north africa which has plenty of pictures confirm my recall.

A lot of them are 4 rectangles a side.
I think even my rather rusty modelling skillz could stretch to that.

I think the ones sent to russia didn't.

Thanks guys. I will wait until Rubicon release their Valentine. The P&G one seems a little bit crude.
