Well done. I like the carpet-scrap blankets, the finer cloth for the officers, and the rents in the flags and the patched trousers are nice touches. Also, that's a very attractive and believable backdrop, and photographed well. |

Really great painting, but my understanding is that "butternut" was really a fade effect on uniforms dyed grey but with inferior dyes. You might want to try painting them grey, and then drybrushing or highlighting the most sun-exposed parts with a light brown. |
