Leclerc and his M3 Scout Car, in front of the Tuilleries. I somehow wonder if the vehicle ever got beyond Gare Montparnasse in practice, but I don't have a photo of that building right now. I keep trying to find a von Choltitz figure to keep him company also. A couple of sightseeing Moroccan Spahis sit behind in an M8 Armoured Car.

All are in 1/72 scale (OK the figures are converted Millicast 1/76 and you can tell the difference) and the transfers/decals are Braille Strike on the M8. The M3 markings come with the kit. The A/C is a major upgrade on the basic Hobbymaster version (repaint, remove the gun ring, stowage and added detail on light guards etc). The M3 is that marvellous (if pricey!) plastic and resin and Photoetched brass kit from AGB.

I suspect Leclerc did not need a map, in practice, as he gazed towards Place de la Concorde and the Champs Elysee.

Murky bucket, as les French would say. My 2emeDB is expanding but where oh where are my Heller M4A2s? Five weeks on and the store will not even respond to polite e mails (but are still taking orders I see). Sob.

Must show my M7 and M5 half track though!
