Hello everyone, Since the main site, I have been using for my research into Saint Hilaire 4th Divison is not working for the last week and half, I decided to search for portraits of officers. I will post a description of this man and his career later on my blog, but first I just wanted to post all the documented portraits we have of Arnould-François-Léopold-Odile-Sigismond du Pouget, Marquis de Nadaillac. the black and white portraits come from Carnets La Sabretache that includes his letters from his service. Portions of the letter can be found here link Sadly, I am unaware of any portrait of him as an aide de camp in Spain.

Pouget wearing the uniform of Gendarme d'ordonnace in 1806 according to his portrait and the uniform of an officer of the 14e Dragoons in 1808. He would become General de Division Victor de Fay de Latour-Maubourg ADC from late 1808-1813 fighting in Spain and Russia. |

He seems to have been in the 5e Hussards, too. |

Robert Le Diable, Yes he was a squadron commander in 1813 as well as a squadron commander of the 3e Garde d'honneur before becoming the Colonel of the Hussards de la Moselle. |

Thanks for response & confirmation; that's also one more contemporary image indicating the blue colours used in French Army of the time. |

Thank you von Winterfeldt, I really enjoyed making the Gendarme d'ordonnace. Right now looking for jobs, so my research and editing plates have slowed, but hopefully will be able to translate a few documents and share with everyone. |

That's particularly interesting with regard to the way the red backing to the leather cross-belt is emphasised. |

Yes, at the inside sort of natural leather while the outside is blackened. |

von Winterfeldt, I used that image you linked as a source for the uniform of the GdO. I wasn't aware of the natural leather backing until looking at that picture. |
