Much inspired by the work shown here before;

I thought I would try out a few AFVs from 2emeDB in August 1944.

The M10 is just a repainted Hobbymaster diecast, but is no longer Le Malin. It now has a homemade Cullin Hedgerow device. I tried to remove the grousers, but risked breaking it. Much stowage added and the Marins are heavily converted Millicast crews. The markings are mostly from Braille Strike and, once you get used to them printed "in reverse", they are great.

The M3A3s are Mirage kits similarly finished….only here I had to add grousers! Many more AFVs to show in time and several still to build. Actually my biggest lack is any Sherman! I have Heller kits ordered and paid for, but one month on, nothing.

Good to see a different subject from Hue.

Thanks all.

Yes, this does make a difference for me. But, if anything, it is a change from 28mm Napoleonic figures. They are all in my attic, carefully boxed in the dark. The Hue Marines are still in my study, on display.

I get obsessions. Paris, August 44, or Pearl Harbour, Dec 8th 1941 (yes, I mean that date and did many models, esp of USS Arizona) or Allied Landing Craft of 1944. I have a huge library on these and many models….equaly many now dumped alas. Bay of Pigs, Finnish Airforce Winter War, Hue 68, Easter Rising 1916…..

I have a very patient wife. Bless her. She preferred the top picture. She keeps telling me (others do on Napoleonics and Vietnam) keep the background simpler. It works better…..

Oh heck. I cross posted to 28mm WWII Message Board. Old habits….I seriously cannot work with 20mm/ or 1/72/ or 1/76…

Thanks again to both of you. I think I may have to work a bit more on the Bonnets de Police, if that is what these forage caps are called, for the Spahis and these 12th Chasseurs d'Afrique. They look more like International Rescue Thunderbirds' caps than Free French Colonials' right now.

I must show Leclerc. Him I am pleased with!
