…Bio-Security Reputation Could Lead To A Catastrophic Leak. Also Warned That China Could Use The TEchnology To Biowarfare Weapons "The construction of the Chinese laboratory at the centre of mounting suspicion over the source of the Covid-19 pandemic was signed off by the EU's chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier – despite warnings by French intelligence services. Mr Barnier – currently embroiled in acrimonious negotiations with the UK over a post-Brexit trade deal – was the French foreign minister when he gave the go-ahead for work to start on the Wuhan Institute of Virology in 2004, under a joint deal with the Chinese. The move came despite strong opposition from French diplomatic and security advisers, who argued that the Chinese reputation for poor bio-security could lead to a catastrophic leak…" Main page link Amicalement Armand |

It's long been known that viruses could jump from animals to humans and spread rapidly around the world due to air travel. I don't think we'll ever be able to prove how this virus was first transmitted. There is no mechanism to investigate inside China. A lab leak seems unlikely to me but is a possibility. For me, the most glaring and significant Chinese failure was silencing the whistle blower Doctor who later died of the disease. That could have been a real game changer. It's most important to learn the lessons about containment and control than to find someone to blame for starting it. |

Not surprised but we at the EMA had already designed and conducted exercises based on a bird flu scenario. |

One US group cooperating with them pulled out due to their poor safety practices as well, a few years back. Given their poor safety practices, rumored reports, and the type of bat suspected in the virus' creation, it sounds like it definitely got leaked from the lab. The type of bats it came from are from 400 – 800 miles away, and not locally indigenous to the region where it first popped up. Also, there are reports of a researcher tied to the lab, and the same bats mentioned above, so it seems very likely that the lab blew their safety protocols, as has been reported in the news by some stations. They even know that one of the lab worker's girlfriend/boyfriend (can't recall which) came down with the disease, initially, and is thought to be patient zero, or one. |

Tyler Durden is the author of the ZeroHedge article – which uses the Daily Mail as a reference. So… not much credibility there. |
