Excellent place for R&R for veteran legionaries returning from the boondocks.

I recognised the Esci Roman figure on top of the column! A very ambitious and inspiring diorama, perfectly composed. It's not as busy as might have been, so presumably early morning in Summer. Is the whole scene, however, not a bit too perfect; that is, it seems as if the municipal cleansing department, SPQR on their dustbins, has just given the place a thorough scrub and hosing-down. In truth, there's always some irregularities other than the occasional barrel and coil of rope seen in this piece; even a bit of moss between the stone blocks, like the algae along the dock-walls at the waterline, would enhance the impression of reality. A beautiful work.
Good Luck.
