Soooo…herein lies the tale on my blog of how I packed up 95+% of my painted Display Case figures and how they are being stored and eventually transported to my future man cave.

Read all about it here: link

As always, comments are appreciated!

Thanks and enjoy!

Impressive work, Murphy and I wish I had thought of that before our move!

Hope all goes well

Hi

Don't trust the magnets. Add some Packing material like Rice puffs to support the figures during moving. Lost several armies last move when one of the figure broke contact and rolled around smashing the other figures.

I agree with Wackmole. Even though you put bubble wrap on top, that might not be enough packing to prevent a figure or two from breaking loose and wrecking havoc amongst all the rest.

Puffed rice can break up. Buy a bag of bean bag chair filler – same size, much tougher.

I feel your pain. There is a 90% chance I will be re-locating in the fall. But I'm a bit anal about being organized so that part is easy. I'm guessing I'll need a 6x12 trailer, packed to the gills, to fit it. I am NOT letting the movers do it. Here is a pic of the minis:

Then there's my rule book collection and then the terrain!
