Love the photography. The backgrounds are superb

Now we get to see that RTO with his "lightweight" Tommy gun!

Nice. Patrolling in the boondocks! Stay alert!

Looks good but what's with the crooked antenna? The PRC-25 had a segmented fiberglass aerial which I assume is shown. You could not bend it like the smaller metal tape antenna. I spent a lot of time with one of those on my back.

To hide the radio I'd put in inside a backpack and the metal tape antenna I could wrap around my helmet.

Very nice overall !

Wolf +1
And you are correct, you would never see a PRC-77 antenna like that. The long one was segmented, and the shorter was flexible, but not like in the pic…

Thanks, I'll straighten it out.

Gunfreak,
If you want to add some other little detail:

The handset could go bad if it got wet and was not waterproof. We'd wrap the plastic from the battery around it or better yet, a Trojan rubber (preferably an unused one) worked best because it was a tight fit. I'm not sure what color you'd use.

Also, are they mirrored sunglasses the LT is wearing? Cool.

The background is excellent.

Nice job, Gunfreak.
Have agree on the hard fiberglass antenna. They The background is great.

Hey, Wolfhag, I used to have fix the stuff you guys broke and a lot of those times I was out in the bush with the battalion. The wire guys always bitched about you grunts too, either stealing or cutting up wire lines for the comm wire!
:-)

In an earlier post you mentioned having lunch. Sure would love it, but Chattanooga is about 7 hours from where I live in NC. It would be great to meet you and your son and swap sea stories.

I am sure that you too are sort of melancholy today. May our good memories prevail over the worst when we think of lost brother Marines. Semper Fi.
