Now this photo really impressed me.

the painting of the figure is great. Facial features, the fag packet in the headband (which I always thought was right until told) but above all the tattoo. Someone knows how to do the helmet cover too!

Photography really captured this. The lack of depth of focus gives it an "impressionist" feel and highlights the essentials. I spend ages with lighting, ultralong exposure, closed shutter etc for the exact reverse! I am still learning.

My photos tend to be blurry. This is great work all around, sculpt, paint, basing, photography.

Excellent figure. A little work of art.

I'm guessing that you don't have a full time job, because that would have taken me months to get to a much poorer quality. Good job!

Holy Smokes! Unbelievable!
Deadhead, isn't this figure one of the first Ged did?
Love the sculpt and pose. What stuns me is the graffiti on his helmet and most of all the tattoo. That is just over the top.

One of our guys, who has won several painting competitions as well as best game awards at national conventions, is now doing 28mm WWII USMC in the Pacific. His Sgt Stryker figure from Sands of Iwo Jima has the Eagle, Globe and Anchor on the breast pocket of his utility jacket. I freaked out and was amazed at that amount of detail and accuracy, but that is nowhere close to this.

Semper Fi to Ged and whoever the artist was that painted this one. I could go on forever on this one.

Simply….WOW!!!!

Ged will tell us I am sure, but yes, this was early release. I was just captivated by the one, very similar, holding onto the top of his helmet while running. Soon as I saw him I knew Napoleonics were suspended for me (I had no idea that would last so long and am currently distracted into 1/72 Liberation of Paris 2emeDB)

I agree. I think this is the best painted up figure we have seen from his range. The washed out colours….just perfect

Sam and Liam….thanks chaps..he was indeed
one of the first USMC sculpts..him and his buddy
holding on his helmet.Sam actually he puts me in
mind of a certain grunt who wore thick coke bottle
style glasses..and was the last to cross over a section
of road in Hue,he was a good Marine just very myopic..any
way his section made it over..he tripped and fell under
a hail of AK47 fire but managed to his mates relief to put his glasses on and make it to the other side his LT asked him for his glasses and promptly stood on them, crushing the lens.he explained to the stunned Marine he had a a job for him back at base….in reality he would not have lasted much longer…he lived to go home.
