Argh, spelling! Part of the launch of the new edition of Mortem et Gloriam rules was to release boxes of 15mm ancients re-using previously successful sculpts from various ranges. First batch use Lurkio figures for late imperial Roman, goths, huns and sassanids. Before I take a plunge has anyone received any and is the casting good enough to use instead of/alongside other 15mms? |

While I haven't seen them in the "flesh" there are plenty of unboxings on You Tube and the MeG website. The figures are very nice and if I'm not mistaken, were originally the Lurkio range which was produced in metal. They are compatible with Essex and Forged in Battle amongst others. The material used in casting gives clear detail and a little give but less than standard plastic figures. The figures have a little flash easily disposed of with an exacto. Some of the longer spears/lances have a bit of a bend. Perhaps the hot water treatment would work to straighten them out. The horse are a bit static for my taste but overall a very nice range of figures in 15mm. I especially like the Late Roman Infantry. Some of the figures are cast as throwing plumbatae (darts) which is unique and adds character to the units. |

Thanks, bave been a fan of Lurkio figures for some time. Looks like I'll be getting moe sassanids to complement the metals I already have. And hopefully they'll release a set of early byzantines in not too long…. |

I have painted 15mm Goths and the fit in fine with my other figures. Once painted, you don't know they are plastic until you pick them up! |

Interesting to see the hun archer still split at the waist while all the other cavalry look now single cast |
