Does anyone know the release date for the Battlegroup Pacific supplement?

Having trouble finding anything on line, what were their capabilities. I'm sure they could fight dismounted, but could they fight or charge mounted. I'm sure their role would be different in a large battle as opposed to skirmishing and small war. Did they even have a cavalry sword? Pardon my lack of knowledge but "Outlander" has sparked a sudden interest.

Although originally raised as mounted infantry – and although part of their training and drill was dismounted – by 1745 the only difference between dragoons and Horse was their uniforms rate of pay and social standing – the dragoons had swords and certainly could fight as battle cavalry

The role of the Dragoon in the 3 major engagements of the ‘45 was in a Battle Cavalry role. They carried a sword and I believe charged at the cantor, and it wasn't until later did Cavalry charge at the gallop. The performance of the two Dragoon Regiments at Prestonpans was so bad, they were regulated to duty in Ireland after the uprising and did get deployed until Nappy showed up. They would have used some Dismounted piquet duty and such but by now they where mounted combatants.

I'm not really sure what the role of dragoon's has to do with a rules release date?

One of the "Ghost of TMP" actions.

As stated in the British army there was little difference in role. The Dragoons were capable of fighting on foot and did so at Clifton Moor in the '45
