A US Navy DDG sailed through the Taiwan Strait in a "freedom of navigation" exercise, a week before the inauguration of the Taiwanese president:

China briefly sent a patrol plane into Taiwan's air defense zone, but it was quickly warned away.

A bit outrageous of any nation to claim that the Chinese do not own all of the oceans. They had better apologise quickly! They are monitoring this thread I assume.

You do have a point there, MG, AND yes, not only that, but Chinese drones bought with American dollars (amazing how they got our "leaders" to pay for that) are running surveillance sorties over, in, and around many US cities now too.

A lot of people, including me, are also wearing/carrying around Chinese manufactured, personal tracking devices that monitor your every movement, purchase, and discussion/text/e-mail message.

Makes the movie 1984 and the tactics used there seem juvenile by comparison.

"Chipping" and bar-coding at birth will probably be the next steps.
