I work better with either no background music or proper levels of loud stuff… here in the UK that comes from Planet Rock |

Ramones! Also Blondie, Talking Heads, Elvis Costello (early stuff), Warren Zevon. Why yes, I was in my 20s in the 1980s. My wife and I have an agreement while we're sheltering in place together. She doesn't put on Bach and I don't put on The Rolling Stones. |

When I'm painting horror themed minis or terrain, it's either Midnight Syndicate or Nox Arcana. Otherwise, it's either classical or U2. |

I don't need no stinking channel! I have a CD player. Fife and Drums of Colonial Williamsburg for the 18th Century, Williams and Goldsmith for SF and for Civil War and WWII, I'm spoilt for choice. Hoping to get to 5mm Ancients this summer, so I'll be fetching out Miklos Rozsa. |

I watch cricket on the telly whilst I'm painting. Test cricket is good because you can have hours of play without anything interesting happening. |

I generally listen to almost any music, usually from my own collection that I have ripped. Lately though I have listened to painting and gaming podcasts. |

I mainly listen to Scala Radio (a UK DAB classical music channel). It always used to be BBC Radio 4, but the quality of the comedy programmes declined and the news and current affairs programmes became increasingly depressing, so I got a DAB radio for the studio. |

Prefer radio drama – BBC Radio iPlayer – anyone for four and a half hours of Sherlock Holmes, 90 mins of Morse, perhaps 220 minutes of Grossman's War – Stalingrad in two episodes. Lots of Sci-fi stuff is available, including three episodes of Torchwood and both War of the Worlds books. There's loads on that channel to check out, comedy to documentaries, to popular science programmes – check The Infinite Monkey Cage with Brian Cox and Robin Ince. If the classics are your thing there is usually a few pieces by Tolstoy, Dickens, R.L. Stevenson, Austen or Bronte; for the hard core there is even a full version of Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan on there. The BBC has been doing audio books for donkey's years using well known actors, including some A listers – Benedict Cumberbatch and Kenneth Brannagh did loads of stuff for BBC Radio, as did many others. |

folkalley DOT com. Lots of roots and folk music, plenty of it international. Especially good for doing ACW! NPR, especially 'tiny desk concerts'. |
