Do you find that your leadership is not quite as inspirational as you had hoped when playing with friends?

Yesthatphil09 May 2020 5:23 p.m. PST

No. I inspire my troops and we usually ride to victory!

You'd have to ask them.

genew4909 May 2020 8:17 p.m. PST

They are more easily inspired than painted.

You just need to dispense sufficient levels of alcohol. They will follow you anywhere after that. Unknowingly perhaps but they will follow.

My inspiration to my troops is not allowed to be posted here at TMP.

Mine work better when I threaten them. Showing them the hammer is better then a +1 general.

When I'm running a game, I will usually write operations orders for each side, in character, including typical motivational comments.

When I'm playing, though, not so much, although I have been known to take a rally action by saying, "the platoon leader having reached the fleeing green squad is going to try to get their butts back in the fight. Rolling 2d6 plus DMs for proximity and leader skill."

My leadership is usually rock solid and very inspirational…….until the first dice roll then things go south pretty quickly!

I find that inspiration of my troops is less a function of my leadership qualities and more a function of whether or not we are out of rum.

I am never out of rum.

No Wargame plan survives the first contact of dice and table.
With regard to the photograph, the guy is clearly an idiot, though he thinks not. His other hand is certainly not pointing to his elbow.

And see "colour my derp"! (On an Utter Drivel Board nearby). Strategists and Tacticians both stress the importance of Co-ordination.

Color co-ordination?(smile)

I was thinking more in terms of being able to walk and talk at the same time
That horse's mane makes me think it's part badger.
Maybe that's where the beard came from.
Waiting for another picture.
Bushy tubing?

Auto-correct for "Bashytubits".
