I am interested in Turenne's Rheinland campaign of 1674 – 1675. Although I realize finding information about this period is hit or miss, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of orders of battle for engagements such as: Sinsheim, Entzheim, Mulhouse and Turckheim. I am particularly interested the Imperialist forces as well as those of the Elector of Brandenburg. Just thought I'd throw this request out there . . .

Cheers!

A good starter is Turenne's memoirs. They probably don't have the detail you are looking for in terms of OOBs etc, but they are a good read. Although it's a few years since I have read them.

Also look for "Turenne en Alsace – Campagne de 1674-1675." By Lengrande-Girarde. Lost of info. You can find it on Google Books for free and maybe some other websites. You can also buy a reprint on Amazon.

The Marburg Digital Archive has a number of OBs of that time period:

Check items 36.47, 36.48, 36.50, 36,51.

Not sure if they are what you are looking for -I don't know enough about the Campaign or those battles.

Hello dbf1676,

I checked out your leads and now I'm busy transcribing the German and French into translation software. You were right! Lots of great information. I'm starting to feel confident that my project is doable. Thanks for the reference!

Cheers!

Hi Camcleod,

I was amazed to find some information for the campaign in question in those OOBs. Great to look at those archived documents. Thanks for the tip!

Cheers!
