I am a butterfly. Happily working on other projects and I need to scratch an itch around Ancient rules and test out some new homegrown rules I just wrote, based on all the other rules I have written. The big difference is it uses a d3 for everything as is played on a 16"x16" board. To test them out I used my first two 15mm armies to play the game – Late Romans and Sasanian Persians. The rules are a work in progress but will publish them after a few more games. The full battle report and a long ramble on why I was moved to write a new set of rules is on my blog: link I am playing on a 16"x16" table and this is a shot of some Persians ganging up on some light archers

At the moment I am keen on them. Just played the Battle of Cynopscephalae and all went well…for the rules anyway, not for the Romans in a reverse of history. |
