In Argentina, $60,000 USD without gun or engine.
Other parts available including new engine and gearbox but that is another $30,000. USD

Anyone want to buy it?

Postage will be a killer…..

A Firefly without a gun is just another Sherman. 60K is actually not bad at all I would think.

I was going to go for it after reading the headline, but the post tells me the gun is missing and that would just look ridiculous in the driveway.

$90 USDk inc engine and clutch – tempting as you would always be able to get / create a parking space…

Sigh. Too late now. I wanted one when I was quartered on Fort Myer and working in the Pentagon. The commute was so short that the mileage wouldn't have been a problem, and a medium tank is just what you need for merging into traffic and changing lanes on I-95.

You could buy the engine and tranny and drive it back…

But if you didn't live in the Americas you have to get the DD fittings as well…

Yep, great for the morning commute through the traffic congestion.

I don't mind the missing engine. It would be fun to rebuild it as an electric vehicle. But you need the gun for appearances sake.

I guess I could just weld on a big piece of 4: pipe, but I think people would be able to tell.

Just like when buying on ebay, simply wait and another one will show up that's better and cheaper… ;-)

It would take quite a lot of Vallejo Russian Uniform to cover it.

A bit of T-Cut and she'll be good as new!

Roderick Robertson Fezian04 May 2020 9:42 a.m. PST

Ah, man, you don't need a gun. Just put a piece of pipe on it and people will think you've got, like, maybe a 90mm.

You'd want air mail, of course…..

Naw … take my word for it, you don't need a medium tank. A light tank will do ya just fine.
