Following on from the mounted Rif Rebels here are some pictures of the Foot Rif Rebels. Nice set.

Even with disguised peaky blinders firing a Lewis gun from the hip! ( even a somewhat shrunken version ;)

I never knew they made them….grrrr.

Hi Jcfrog Yes I thought it would burn through his hand and tunic. It reminded me of an American WW2 comic book series were there was a Sergeant who used to be on the cover who seemed to be able to fire almost any type of machine gun from the hip.

Korsun0 I stumbled across these they are still out there but the Arab rebellion set which has a 2 two man Vickers gun team (you get 3 because of the Sprues) is out of production. Seen one set for sale from Australia but postage is a killer. You can still get the Lawrence of Arabia set which is cavalry which would go well with the Rif set. Lose the figure in a uniform which I assume is Lawrence.

ABC – Was it Sgt. Fury? Hope you are well. Regards – Hal

Hi Hal

Yes that was the guy. I always thought that the British war comics had better stories but the cover artwork with Sgt Fury was always brilliant.

Or was it Sgt Rock????

Or both …

Strelets is making a lot of cool Arab sets that would have been awesome for the olde Airfix Fort Sahara!
