This really does my head in. Daily for like an hour but it's in primetime for antipodeans. I've lost so many brilliant and insightful posts because of this. I think I solved cancer in one post, but it's lost forever because of daily TMP maintenance…

Ha! Been there done that.

You could copy your text to MS Word, or something else, or just to the PC's memory, before hitting submit, just in case.

Yeah I've started doing that, to my cheapass MS word, open office reader, or even memo. It's a PITA tho

Why does this site need so much "maintenance" tho but? Other forums I'm on don't have this daily down time

No worries Bill, the cure for cancer will have to wait (so drunk I can't remember it now) but thanks for chiming in. I'd rather have this old school forum and database still operating than for anything modern or less maintenance heavy to exist. Seriously. Keep it the same, the occasional inconveneince is worth it to keep things the same. I love TMP.
