As long as my Governor is going to hold me under house-arrest I thought that I would make a good use of the time by challenging my wargaming buddies to dig out an old project and get it finished. link In the last two weeks I have completed my Afghan Village project link
And a 15mm shanty-town for Cold War in Africa link

Love the way you painted those Afghan buildings. Where did you get them? Someone bought the molds to these from Crescent Root when Crescent Root moved to laser cut MDF. I never found out where they ended up. These are definitely the old Crescent Root buildings. They look great. Really enjoy this set up you built. Matthew |

45thdiv, Thanks for the compliment. I am just building the Afghan village for a friend, he got the buildings through a Kickstarter if memory serves. They were nicely detailed but very poorly cast, some of the roof sections looked like a potato chip and needed multiple hot-water soak and bend treatments to make use usable. There were also no end of bubbles (which fortunately can double as bullet strikes for this use). |

That is fantastic work, use the time while you can, I finally got back to work this week. |

Nicely done, Anton--and congratulations, 14bore! I have no work to go back to, having retired before the Lockdown. But since literally every social activity in my life was cancelled, the Governor has added substantially to my painting time. |

45thdiv, I believe the Crescent Root resin was bought by a company called The Art of Wargaming ( theartofwargaming.com ) . But they seem to has suspended trading some time ago -- as you'll see if you go to the site they say they are not accepting orders. Great job on those buildings and terrain boards, Anton! |
