Not a bad price, but I'd like to see a review or two.

I've played it, its a fun game, not sure how accurate it is. Units can interpenetrate each other a lot, and can be piled into an area in such a way that would create hopeless confusion in reality. You can play in such a way that you just avoid doing it.
I'd say is something between a simulation and tabletop game. I got it for £10.00 GBP and it was certainly worth that much. The first PC game I ever played was Sid Meir's Gettysburg, and it certainly feels like a spiritual successor to that game in style.

I also got the improved expanded version UG Civil War, which has more battles and a sort of campaign mode.

I love this game. You can play it a different levels of difficulty. You can choose to play Union or Confeds in the various places along the battle or as they have it broken down to time tables of the various days. These are from first contact to the final charge.

I really wish they would do this for all of the major battles of the American Civil War.

I have it and enjoyed it for a while. It's a video game not a tactical sim.

If you are looking for tactical I still think "John Tiller's Battleground Civil War" is the best. It's more bordgame converted to PC but I rate it still.

Ultimate General is great. Gettysburg is very good. The full Civil War game with a campaign for both sides and scenarios for most major battles is fantastic.
Campaign allows you to start as a division commander and work your way up.

Yes, get the civil war one. Not the Gettysburg one.
