Many don't know Ethiopia being part of the UN sent troops to the UN cause. And Haile Selassie remembers not too many came to help them when the Italians overran their country before WWII. So he hoped the UN would help stop wars like the one that overran his nation. As we see the UN's promise and hope to stop wars only "marginally" works. |

Well Ethiopia was a poor country then and still is … The South Koreans have one of the best economies in the Pacific Rim. As well as better than many other nations in the world. IMO it is a way of thanking the Ethiopia soldiers who fought well … |
