As I don't have regular gaming opponents due to this whole Covid-19 thing I tried out the solo rule modifications to DBA3.0 a couple of days ago. I have put an AAr and first thoughts about the modifications on my blog.

Thanks, as a DBA 3 fan I enjoyed that AAR.

The Sassanid have three sub-lists of which the first I enjoy very much. This allows for the campaigns of Ardashir I from 220 – 224 AD against the Parthian, City States, Rome and Armenia in the west and his son, Shapur I engaging the Alani and Kushan in the east.

People still play DBA?

Wow.

It's quick and easy but not perfect I prefer the bigger brothers DBM and DBMM and the cousin ADLG. They have more granularity. But hey…..made you look 😉

Thanks Elenderil, both interesting and useful.

People still play DBA?

Wow.

Guilty. And solitaire, for fun, at that…

TRIUMPH! is better than DBA, IMO. Give it a shot. You can get the pdf at wargamevault.com.
