Hi Everyone, Hope you are all doing well in these times. Around Christmas I started to paint and make HOTT strongholds for the great Minifigs science fiction figures that I have had the luck to win on E-bay. Old School 25mm figures which were sculpted I think by Dick Higgs. These figures were one of the first Sci-Fi ranges ever and they are IMO great. Here are a couple of photos of my armies so far. There are more on the blog.
One of the joys of these old figures are, well, their alien-ness. Who can resist the charm of an army of vaccuum cleaners? Their Terrans just were the Mobile Infantry of their day.
One of the best parts of this project has been making suitable strongholds for them out of nothing more than scraps. Hope you all like these. Comments and crits welcome. kropotkinspage.wordpress.com |

One of the ranges I first picked up – really liked them, especially items like the heavy weapons – there was a screw gun, can't remember the proper name, but it was quite obviously sculpted using a screw! And the Earth troopers had a rocket launcher that looked suspiciously like a nail. I loved their imagination. Vertos Robomen were (probably) my favourites. |

Oh, you're probably already aware but part of the SF code range is still available: link As well as the second SF range which was more "realistic" in a sort of Hard SF sense but less "fun" – the first range was very Space Opera. |

Thanks Guys, Glad you like them. They definitely fall into the fun side of figures. I do look at the Miniature Figurines site every so often, but if you wait long enough bargains can still pop up on E-bay. |
