I'm looking for a mounted FFL officer wearing a kepi. I'd like to find a 25mm figure (similar in size to the old Ral Partha Colonials or just slightly larger). Any suggestions? TIA. |

I'm looking for a single figure not an entire pack. And Old Glory figures are too big. |

Castaway Arts has a mule rider that you might be able to use. I have read that they run closer to 25mm than 28mm. |

Eureka makes a series of Greek Evzones for 1897. Greek officers at the time bought their uniforms out of a clothing allowance they received, and often ended up spending only a short time in the evzones, whose uniform was quite striking, and probably rather pricey. So most of them just wore their regular line infantry uniforms when they went to the evzones. The Eureka line includes one such officer. Greek tunics had hidden buttons, so you will need to paint the buttons on, but other than that, he makes a great French officer. I bought a couple for my own FFL. Eureka USA doesn't seem to have any in stock, but they are still on the Australian Eureka website under 28mm Colonials. link Grelber |

The only Greek Evzone officer I can find is an infantry officer. I'm lookingf for a mounted officer. |

There are 3 mounted officers with kepi in our Franco Prussian range, scroll down to the bottom of the page; link Gerry Webb Castaway Arts |

Sadly, I need a figure wearing a havelock, not just a kepi. |

That's easy enough to make out of a piece of tissue and some white glue. |

Sadly, that's way out of my wheelhouse. This is what I'm looking for link |

I believe that Matchlock Miniatures were about the size of Ral Partha. They are on the MiniFigs site, individually, but no pic. I Iooked for pics and found a few comparisons of1/72 plastics to their Boxers and the height seems right. Anyway, good luck. link |

Sorry, I missed the "mounted"part. For what it's worth, the mounted commander of my Greek army started life as a foot officer. I cut off his legs, then cut the legs in two just above the knees. The torso was glued in the saddle then the lower legs were glued onto the horse with the feet where the stirrups would be. Then, I sculpted an upper leg connecting the torso and lower leg. Thankfully, the upper leg is not particularly detailed, so it looks OK. Grelber |
