OK, so I know if I ask 100 people, I'm likely to get about a hundred different answers, but I am leaning towards some 6mm armies for certain games rather than 15's or larger.

In particular, I'm looking at the periods of Pike & Shotte in Europe (TYW through Jacobite Rebellion) and Samurai wars in Asia.

Who makes good minis for these periods/theaters?

I see Bacchus must be very popular as they are currently not taking any new orders.

Who else?

Thanks,
Steve

In my opinion Baccus has the best looking figures for both eras.
Irregular Miniatures has both eras. Their figures can be hit or miss.
Heroics and Ros lists both eras on their main page but they do not appear to be available at this time.

I'm partial to Baccus as they are the entirety of my ECW armies and I've been well pleased.

Heroics and Ross are really 5mm and look significantly different from Baccus. They wouldn't mix well.

As Rakkasan says, Irregular can be hit and miss but I will say they paint up much better than they look in raw metal.

If you go 10mm (and I am not advocating that), the options expand signifcantly.

Bacchus does nice work. Irregular are enough smaller as to justify smaller bases. Really, McKinstry is right. Bacchus and Adler are one scale, and Irregular and H&R another. But right now, I doubt anyone is shipping. Get samples and look at pictures. See who's still around when things start up again.

At the present rate of progress, some of them may not be here, and you may have a different interest by then anyway.

Microworld has some fantastic 6mm renaissance figures, and is still shipping I believe. Take a look!
