Yeah too perfect.
Shiny 15mm minifigs perhaps?

>>The table top & the collection is very pleasing to look at, something which we will work on constantly to fine tune.

Yes- bases, i dislike the robotised format. Troops that don't fit 'on' the terrain (bridges/ BUA etc.) or terrain not sized for the figure basing? take your pick. Long limber trains rocketing up hill? And red smoke? Why? At least you use some.

Barren hills except for a battery? What cavalry general worth his salt wouldn't have occupied the high ground first? Seems like rules at play somewhere causing the gaps.

>>
The Austrian army is still larger than the French and both sides really needed another two or three brigades of infantry each to form a second line of reserves

Yet by own admission 3 brigades were motionless/unused anyway.

Don't get me wrong, it looks good- but refights or just big battles require a modicum of 'refereeing' and drive rather than knowledgeable gamers 'having at it' and hoping for results.

Hi Dave,

thanks for your input!
These are 10mm, mostly Magister Militum & Old Glory.

What baffles me is this; who the hell is Tango01/Armand? Why do my blog posts get posted here to attract unwanted feedback?
I'm not alone in this I understand, no harm done I suppose.

Stay safe everyone, best wishes,

JJ

Hmmm. Armand posts links to publicly available material.

So not sure i see the point there JJ. Could you expand

Dave's comments are useful general observations, which may be of interest to the Marauders, of course, but they provide interesting points for general discussion here on TMP

Fair enough Marc, thanks for your response. I see a few other bloggers getting vociferous & vocal about him/her. Like I said it doesn't do any harm & like you say it's public material & free.
Best wishes,
JJ

My only comment, other than it's a beautiful game on very nice terrain, would be that the Polish Light Horse did not yet have lances in 1809.
