The Portable Wargame from Bob Cordery is a good solo wargame alternative, especially if you use the card driven sequence of play! Bob: what can we expect from your forthcoming Portable Wargame for Colonial? An iteration of Clash of Empires, or a complete rewrite? Thank you, Jeff |

Jeff, It is a development from the earlier PORTABLE WARGAME rules, and comes in two versions. A simple fast-play version and the slightly more complex version that uses some of the concepts from the Napoleonic rules. The book also contains a simple campaign system that can be played solo and a terrain generator for 8 x 8 squared grid and 9 x 8 hexed grids tabletops. My rules are designed so that you can use the Army Lists from WEC as a guide for any PW armies you want to field on the tabletop. WEC was a step along the road to the PORTABLE WARGAME, so there are some similarities, but the new rules aren't just a rewrite of the previous set. |
