Looking for something close to Tamiya XF-65 Field Grey, but cheaper. ;-) Can't get to any craft stores at the moment to compare, so I thought I'd ask first. Thanx for any info! |

I have found for a light shade Field Gray (greenish hue) use a 50/50 mix of Craftsmart Grey and Ceramcoat Dark Forest Green. For a darker shade of Field Gray (also a greenish hue) use a 50/50 mix of Americana Gray Storm and Ceramcoat Dark Forest Green. Of course, to make the uniform grayer, just add more of the gray color to the mix and same for the green. Works great! |

I've used Decoart Neutral Grey to good effect. Usually wash it with a medium green. |

I also like Hippo Grey. I dry brush it over a black undercoat. |
