Its good to see pre-Peloponnesian war Spartan shield patterns.
I reckon a lot of folk still think the Lambda ^ symbol was used in the Persian war!
I wonder why?

Movies and graphic novels have cemented that in the general population's mind. There is no undoing it. To their credit the art directors of "The 300 Spartans" at least used sans-serif Lambda designs for their shields- since serifs are a "Latin thing". But that surely drags this into the depths of pedantry.

I'm glad folks liked the deep dive into Spartan shields!
