Getting back to my blog entries. Probably have two more after this one. I should get them out the next couple weeks. Lots of good stuff.

Cool. Haven't been there in well over 10 years. Glad you had good weather.

And that you were there before the Covid-19 outbreak!

Nice pictures, especially of the "Great Wall."

Kevin probably knows it already that October in China is called the Golden Season as weather wise it is the gap between the hot dry summer and cold wet winter. The week long period of National Day is also the peak travel time .

The lines shown at Mao's mausoleum are usually not that long considering every domestic tour goes there

Your Great Wall pictures are very good I would suggest to you and future visitors that in future visits to areas other than Badaling or Mutianyu. Those two sites are not only very crowded but are als heavily restored.

Thanks for sharing and I am looking forward to more pictures.

Thanks guys. We had a great time and I loved the exploring I got to do however limited. I did not find the place too intimidating, Qiuyan and I have been together a couple years so I am used to Mandarin being spoken around me. It is rather odd to not hear it now.

@Redblack, I had not heard that term before but the idea was to get there during that time when it was still decent. Siping gets cold so we did not want to wait too late so we left the weekend after the festivities.

I'll have some cool stuff in the area of Siping to show you all. There is more there than you might suspect
