Being late to the game I missed Attack Wing. Are they are any alternatives out there there? I like both TOS and TNG plus timeline and would like to play wit both? And recommendations would be great. |

What scale of combat do you want? Captain's duel? (Ship vs. Ship, overload of crunchy detail) Small Squadron (2-6 ships per side, still heavy detail) Small fleet (8-12 ships per side, medium detail) Fleet (12-24 ships per side, light detail) Massive Armada (Dozens of ships per side, we-don't-need-no-stinkin'-detail, just start blowing ‘em all up). Different strokes, etc.. For Massive Armada (and even just Fleet), I offer Generic Outlandishly Big Spacefleets! (Aka GOBS!) It's free, and loosely inspired by Star Trek. You'll find several alien factions that are stand-ins for your favorite Star Trek elements (Do-Gooders, Boneheads, Thinkers, Mean-Thinkers, Traders, Drones, and more). Pick a faction (or just go plain vanilla), design your fleet, load up the table with ships, and play. thegobspage.com |

This is actually a boardgame that includes the same Attack Wing ships. Star Trek Fleet Captains is a great game. You get a slew of miniatures, an ever changing set of game tiles, an ever changing set of mission parameters to win, and a mix of TOS and TNG ships and characters that somehow just works. The Klingon player might have a secret mission that causes him to be aggressive in an unexpected sector. The Fed player might have a secret mission to land an away team on a Klingon planet and retrieve it after a few turns. Or they might both be trying to destroy each other's fleet. There is a Romulan expansion, as well. It really is a fun game. |

Parzival not sure really. Something not too complicated. I'll checkout your rules though thanks. Lucius thanks for that. I didn't know about that game so I'll take a look. |

I can second that for Fleet Captains. Not a ship vs ship game per se, but I used to own it and it was a lot of fun. |

Has anyone used Full Thrust for Trek? I've found a Romulan and Federation fleet book but no so much in terms of kligon. |

Starship combat news (great site, now inactive except for forums) has a bunch of Star Trek ships for FT. I used these as a basis for my own mod and had some fun with it for a while. star-ranger.com/SRStuff.htm |
