These are excellent reviews of several books on the War of 1812. I don't agree with some of his assertions but this does not detract from an excellent analysis.

The reviewer states that there are few British books on the War of 1812 because the British viewed this war as a sideshow to the European conflict. Nonetheless, he reviews Lambert's book on British Sea power and War of 1812 but does not include sound overall histories from a British viewpoint such as Jon Latimer's "War of 1812". BTW the latter does pose the British viewpoint but it is a balanced effort of analysis. Highly recommended.

Very good find T. Thanks.
