OK this idea for a campaign setting just occurred me while painting 15mm WW2 Russian trucks! OK so I think we have just recently heard that the Queen and Prince Charles both got Covid-19. NOW assuming they both die. That leaves us with Prince William and Prince Harry. Now there seems to be some animosity brewing between them. Sad for the family but a boon for us! Say a faction emerges that called for Prince Harry to ascend to the throne? |

The timing of Harry's and Meghan's withdrawal from royal life is interesting. What did they know about the coronavirus, and when did they know it? I assume that the military would take direction from the Prime Minister, not either William or Harry, so they'll be helping the police put down anti-monarchy riots and quelling the pro-independence movements in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Harry having withdrawn from royal family duties, and being the younger sibling, doesn't really have a claim on the throne anyway. |

OK so I think we have just recently heard that the Queen and Prince Charles both got Covid-19 Charlie has, the Queen apparently hasn't – at least, the latest official statement is that she is "in good health". I assume that the military would take direction from the Prime Minister And since the current Prime Minister has tested positive, you can select your own replacement(s) for a scenario like this… But in reality I really don't think enough people would care which prince sat on the throne to provoke a civil war over the succession. |

More than a little unlikely – I don't see the UKs hard-core royalists doing anything other than falling inline behind the establishment. More likely to complain about poor quality memorabilia than ague about the succession. (My educated guess at that the current situation is that Meghan's run off in a huff because she can't control the UK press in the same manner the Hollywood PR machine does – royals being seen as something approaching public property. Though don't take that as me excusing the UKs tabloid press, at best moronic, at worst dog whistle). More likely would be some weird right-wing coup attempt if Covid-19 laid sufficient waste to the older demographic to alter the current political balance (unlikely as things currently stand and hopefully it remains that way) – a sort of age-based civil war pitting a younger left-leaning, progressive, European in outlook generation versus some hard-Brexit type ideologues who can't cope with the fact that fate has snatched their time away from them… |

I was working on some angle where Megan breaks Harry's heart. He runs of to Vietnam to go on a bender. Gets arrested and locked up and subsequently radicalized by Garry Glitter. So maybe that's the younger generation trying to seize power. Could have some modern "Williamite's". |

What nothing? Too ridiculous? More ridiculous that what they are doing to us now? |
