Good morning. I am not a big fan of building kits and a 1/48 or 1/56 CH46 from the Vietnam era is very hard to find in kit form. Thankfully there is a 1/55 diecast option! Here is a photo of mine:
Here is the link to where you can purchase on Amazon amazon.com/New-Ray-Sky-Pilot-Vehicles/dp/B0051TXYSU My plan is to re-paint in Marine green, weather, etc. I have some decals from a 1/48 UH34 kit that hopefully will work out ok. If not there is an Ebay seller who sells transfers from this era with generic US/USMC markings. Will update this as I progress.

Looks fine to me. I went through decades of building kits and the two decades of buying countless WWII ships and then storing them in the attic instead. Assembly is one thing, painting them is almost worse. Something readily assembled like this is probably better finished than most of us could manage. With the right markings this should look great. At $20 USD this sounds an absolute bargain! |

I agree. A bargain considering the cost of a model plus the time it would take to build it. |

Had $17 USD left in an amazon gift card… $3 USD is a steal! |

That's awesome. Please show it to us after you've painted it! |

I've been buying New Ray for a while now. Got Blackhawks and chinooks but need to start adding cobras and apaches. There are some similar scaled bo105 types, bells, and hueys (in non-military schemes). |

Does New Ray make a Huey deployed in Vietnam war era? |

Sadly no Huey! Seems like it's hard to find a good 1/48 diecast slick. There are some gunships around (pricey) but no slicks. I know you can do 3d printed or plastic kit but man it's hard to beat diecast for ease of use and quality! newrayusa.com/sky-pilot |
