I am looking for something where a player can run a small group of mixed type figures, where the rules can handle multiple factions on the table at the same time, might include some of the magical/mythical elements, and provide a game over a few hours. Thinking something like a multi-player game in which each player has their own motivations, at a con setting, where the game can move along quickly, and the players can quickly absorb the basic rules concepts.

Thanks!

Taiko! has a skirmish version that will suit the bill. No magic rules but it does include special rules for Ninja.

Ah, and looks like you sell hard copy versions at your store as well. Very good!

For now….once we sell out we will not be reprinting. But we have a decent supply yet.

I really like the combat system in "Ronin" (Osprey).

Test of Honour ticks all those boxes except the magic, which would be easy to add.

Daisho from The Ministry of Gentlemanly Warfare should work. It already has the magic aspect:

Tribal from Manna Games would fit the bill, or else their slightly more modern version, Brutal.

Another recommendation for Ronin. There is a mythical addition to the rules online on the Osprey site.

Ronin and Test of Honour… both excellent systems. Magic would be easy to add on to them.

Our club has been playing Test of Honor and enjoying it very much. Did a number of Seven Samurai based games.

So many offerings seem to cover what I seek. I have ordered Daisho for starters. Thanks all!
