Were there Irish troops serving in Holland during the 80 years war and if so what would they have looked like and are there any books about them. |

I'm away from my books right now, but I think I can recall some were used as English auxiliaries (and may have defected to the Spanish).
I think they were deployed by Henry VII on the continent, and there's a contemporary engraving showing them, but I can't source it right now. |
