Does anyone know if there is an on-line image of the standard carried by the Swedish Drabant Guard during the Scanian War. |

I don't think they had one. |

Is the Scanian War different from the Great Northern War or is this picture applicable? link |

Andoreth, The Scanian War was from 1675-79 while the GNW was from 1700-21. The uniforms were different. Lars Hoglund has two very detailed books on the Swedish Army, one for each war. The uniform info for the Drabants in both books is very detailed, but in neither case is there a mention of standards. The trumpet banners and kettle drum covers were blue with yellow, gold and yellow embroidery, with a monogram in gold. I would not rely on the picture you found a source. |
