I'm reading Check Your 6 Jet Age and am wondering if others have used the rules for Star Wars dogfighting. What are your thoughts on this and how it can model dogfighting in the star wars universe? Micromachines models would seem so suitable for this without breaking the bank and going the route of the X-Wing miniatures game by FFG. |

I'd go with the Duel of Eagles, or Clash of Sabres rules instead, by QRF, since they have the curved turning templates like X-Wing does. |

Or there'e Star Eagles released by Ganesha Games last year, a sc fi dogfight game complete with build your own starfighters. And Star Wars stats are already up on the facebook page. Robert |

Hi Deucey, we've avoided x-wing the game. we have a large collection of star wars ships from other lines and playing x-wing entails having to buy new models just for cards, rules, specific models for specials, etc. making it an expensive option as well as redundant and too brand dependent. Just not our thing. |

How about Blood Red Skies? |

I suppose that rules for atmospheric aircraft would work perfectly well of Star Wars dogfighting since they seem to maneuver exactly like atmospheric aircraft. Just once I'd like to see SF spacecraft act like spacecraft. Enemy on your tail? Just use the maneuvering thrusters to spin your fighter to face backwards and fire away! :) |
