Hello, Do the Emerald City Comic Con getting canceled this week do to fears of Corona Virus, I had a booth and I have a huge stock of minis. The lose of the income that would have made at the show has a huge impact of a small company like mine. Today I am starting the sale. Most of the Spirit Beasts and many other models are on sale from 15% to 20% off. All of the units have been reduced in size and ready to use for games like Tribal and similar skirmish games. The New models I made for the show The Hawaiian Noble and the Kwakiutl Headhunters have been added to the store. Also a have added a large custom base that I had commissioned for Ai Apeac the Decapitator. This base is very limited, and will be discontinued as a single model once it is sold out. This sale will last until next weekend. I have reduced prices low enough to make it easier for international shipping. Any you guys can do, regardless of how small, would be huge help. Please Check out the Store – paymastergames.com Thanks, Raza Decon w/ Paymaster Games Here are our new models - Ai Apeac's Base link Kwakiutl Headhunter kit link Hawaiian Noble link |

the Emerald City Comic Con getting canceled this week do to fears of Corona Virus Mad panic verging on hysteria. The average annual mortality rate from the flu in the UK is 17,000, but the London Marathon is still going ahead next month! |

..sadly it's all about optics and liability… |

Not mad panic. Necessary precautions. |
Bargain Bin DM | 11 Mar 2020 4:23 p.m. PST |
…I don't know. 25 fatalities in a country of 331 million doesn't seem to warrant the drastic steps being taken. Just a non expert opinion… |

Has there been past convention canceled due to the seasonal flu? |
Thresher01 | 11 Mar 2020 5:21 p.m. PST |
Does seem a bit extreme, but a Communist Chinese newspaper mouthpiece for them is threatening to cut off ALL anti-biotics to the West, if we dare mention where the virus came from, and they make 97% of the world's supply of that, so………………………..let that sink in a minute. Looks like the official government policy of China is to now weaponize the virus against us, unless we do their bidding, and tow the official Chinese Communist Party line. |

Just the flu? Sure. In Italy my cousin whose wife is a doctor told me that she is triaging people in hospital – deciding who gets treatment and who is left to get better or die. And this is not just coronavirus patients as the system is getting overwhelmed. Too bad if you are 58 and a 38 year old is getting assessed at the same time. |
Thresher01 | 11 Mar 2020 6:48 p.m. PST |
2 – 2.5X more transmissable than the flu, and apparently 25 times, or so, more deadly, if tonights stats in the news are on point. |
2019Fish | 11 Mar 2020 7:36 p.m. PST |
Not if they said that. It is more virulent perhaps than 'common' flu but the mortality rate is lower, at least so far. |

As a small business owner I can appreciate the financial outlay that you made to have stock for a show. With the show being cancelled, you can be left holding the stock and this can put a business at risk. I hope that members of the gaming and miniatures community can rally around your business and other small businesses in similar situations. This hobby needs small business owners like yourself. For people collecting figures in your period, please consider placing an order now that you may have been waiting to place later in the year and perhaps add a few extra figures to treat yourself. Also let people in your club know about this sale. I plan to have a look later this weekend to see if I can purchase a few to help out, even though it is not my period. I will also send an email out to our group. Good luck and I hope you can weather this storm. |

More people are dying and getting hospitalized from car accidents, but no one is shutting down the highways. It seems to be ChiCom action to put down the Hong Kong civil rights actions, taken up by globalists to impact the US elections. The news organizations love to blow up something into a disaster. The ChiCom virus is not the Krippin Virus or the cause of the walking dead, and as nicely put by the grandson of the last Hapsburg emperor, who has it, not the black plague. Raza, I looked at your site. Some really fantastic art there. I do not have use for any thing, but I must get something. Something I can use for a Hordes of the Thing army. Will work on it. Keep up the good work. |

Governments try to slow down the increase in new infections, which is understandable, necessary and their duty. They try to avoid a situation like in Italy. What kind of message would it be to the generation 60+ if society acts like it is just the usual flu? The mortality and the suffering should not be downplayed because the risk is low for the young and the healthy. |
Thresher01 | 12 Mar 2020 12:01 a.m. PST |
"The news organizations love to blow up something into a disaster". "Never let a disaster go to waste", or something like that, so I've read about postings from the opposition. |

Some really nice models there for sure. |

The con is in Washington, so it makes sense with the response in the state. WA seems to be ground zero right now. |
Perris0707 | 12 Mar 2020 5:39 a.m. PST |
Interesting link to a recent interview with Dr. Drew Pinsky. link Oh, and WASH YOUR HANDS! That would be my chief concern at any Con. Many Wargamers have rather "sketchy" hygiene (based on my Historicon observations…). |

It's good to see the large amount of medical experts and pandemic specialists that post on TMP. I wouldn't have thought that many were wargamers. |
Martin Rapier | 12 Mar 2020 6:51 a.m. PST |
"It's good to see the large amount of medical experts and pandemic specialists that post on TMP." Indeed. Curse those experts with their 'science' and inconvenient facts. Governments are just trying to stop their healthcare systems collapsing at the end of what has already been a difficult winter for flu. Keep washing your hands people, and hope that it isn't you or a close relative trying to find a free ICU bed. Meanwhile out here in the real world, I'll get back to making sure all my staff are able and ready to work from home and updating the major incident team on mitigating actions to date. |
Bargain Bin DM | 12 Mar 2020 7:10 a.m. PST |
…Covid 19 talk aside, after roaming around on your site you have some really interesting minis, and I'm very curious about your rules to use them. I plan to grab a few just to paint the up! |
Wackmole9 | 12 Mar 2020 7:11 a.m. PST |
It just show how weak our Health systems are and One wonder what would happen if a really Pandemic were to happen. Why did we put all are antibiotic production in one place?, SO It can be used as a weapon against us. Why did we allow local industry to close , so we could buy cheaper stuff from a not so friendly country. Why are Medical supplies in high demand. Because we import them from cheaper source, instead of having a local manufacturer. |
Au pas de Charge | 12 Mar 2020 7:38 a.m. PST |
Wackmole9 asks some excellent questions. The problem with the Corona virus is: 1. Although no more communicable than the common strains of flu, it takes longer for the symptoms to manifest themselves which means it can be passed to more people before the carrier realizes they're sick. 2. As a species we haven't the intrinsic/natural (or vaccine based) antibodies to combat it. |
Dagwood | 12 Mar 2020 11:47 a.m. PST |
And with literally no-one with the antibodies, transmission will be much faster and potentially to a very high percentage of the population. In the UK, there could well be over 100,000 cases requiring intensive care, and there are only 4,000 intensive care beds in the country. Plan for the worst, hope for the best. Hope all the extra money being spent right now is a complete waste …. Sod all to do with the American election …. |

Just placed an order and second Bargain Bin's question about rules. I intend to use mine for role-playing but if the models are as good in the lead as they look online I might be tempted into enough for a skirmish game. |
sillypoint | 12 Mar 2020 7:50 p.m. PST |
I'm thinking of adapting Lion Rampant. 6 figure units instead of 12, 2 hits to remove a figure. Counting 1 hit as a figure "wounded" only rolling 1 dice…etc. |

What do you want to know about the rule set? |
Bargain Bin DM | 12 Mar 2020 10:02 p.m. PST |
….my rule question is pretty basic actually, and I think I answered my own question by looking at the cover. I was just a little confused as to whether the Spirit Beast are used in the game, or just collectors models? It's really a moot point as I plan to order the rule book and a handful of minis tomorrow (after I finally settle on what I want!). I really love the concept. Obviously you've done your homework. Kudos! …and having Shoshie paint one of your figures is high praise! That Sisiutl she painted is amazing! |

Paymaster Games | 13 Mar 2020 7:02 p.m. PST |
Bargain Bin DM Yes, Most of the Spirit Beast can be used with the different factions. Their are some limits however, Mesoamerican Monsters can only be used with Mesoamerican Warparties like Aztecs and Maya. Hope that helps. |
Bargain Bin DM | 15 Mar 2020 1:53 p.m. PST |
…thanks for the info! I ended up ordering a handful of Pacific Northwest and Mayan minis as well as a PDF of the rule book. I mostly bought what I bought for the cool painting potential. I want to give the rules the once over, and then order up some core troop types and probably a few more spirit beasts! |
