A special Cold Wars Convention's Eve treat, my review of Firelock's newest – and first other than nautical – product. Enjoy, see you at the con and . . . wash your hands!

Interesting but my WW1 stuff is all mounted 3 to a stand and we like to play bigger battles than what that game is aiming for, skirmishes.
Hope they do well though.

This might make my list. I've played Blood and Plunder, and like the mechanisms. That, and the clarity of the writing.

But since my interests lie in the Russian Civil War, I'll need those crucial Russian stats to start working on using it for that period.

Superficially it sounds a bit like a mix of Bolt Action and stud poker.

Would anyone know if cavalry are included in these rules? I would appreciate it.

They are Stew. They get a free advance action when they are activated, and they get a bonus when charging. If they dismount they stay dismounted.
Cavalry unit stats included in the book are for British, Australian Lighthorse, Arabs, Turks, Germans, French and Belgians.
