The United States has provided "very limited support" to the Taliban in its fight against ISIS in the eastern Afghanistan province of Nangarhar, U.S. Central Commander head Gen. Frank McKenzie told lawmakers Tuesday…"

Brilliant idea, since that turned out so well for us after the last time we did that in Afghanistan.

Do US military leaders not read, or understand history?????

Oh good, the Taliban needed a fresh supply of arms and we're here to help. What could possibly go wrong with arming terrorists?

I guess the bright side would be if the Taliban and ISIS are killing each other that is a win-win for the world.

Sleeping with the enemy. There's no lesser evil here when comparing these two. I suppose the US needs a new ally in the fight against ISIS now that asking the Kurds for help is no longer an option.

The article did not define what "very limited support" means. Let's not add to the fake news (which is so prevalent these days) by saying we are arming the Taliban, which I hope we are not. It could be as simple as sharing some intelligence information we have on ISIS.

I would like to suppose that at least … in case you have to leave them to their fate … it will hurt less than the Khurds…

I'd be fine with this, if we can put an iron cordon around them, and let them fight it out, "Thunderdome" style.

US and friends need to get out of Afghanistan and leave them to their own devices.
