Right. These are 82nd Airborne in the South Of Europe 1944.
Odd as most went back to the UK for Overlord in late 43. The 504th did detach to serve a short time at Anzio but that was January 1944. If these lasses are bathing in a mountain stream in an Italian Winter, they are hardy souls. There would surely have been a nip in the air…?
