I got my "conceal carry" licence in December and started my search for a comfortable holster. No luck. I've purchased 5 so far including a shoulder holster contraption. I hated them all.

I'm a bit overweight and the waistband holsters (which I really wanted to use) were the worst! So, I bought a "trigger guard" holster

link

and just carried my pistol in my front pocket. It always ended up in the bottom of my jeans pocket, pulling down my pants, uncomfortable and obvious.

Then I found the "Clipdraw"

link

It is amazing! Comfortable! I use it with the trigger guard and I am well pleased.

Finally a combination I feel really comfortable with.

But how would you display it on a miniature?

I'm disappointed though: I thought you were pleased to see me.

Skipper John – Have you tried Urban Carry holsters?? The infomercial looks impressive and I liked what I saw and may get this one? I live in a big city and it may come in handy – especially if all these Coronavirus Zombies start popping up!

Real men don't wear pistols.

Real men wear pants to conceal their postol until it is needed to protect themselves or their family.

The best soltion I've seen is a man-bag with a concealed-carry compartment. (Ukrainian). The piece is carried horizontally and you just reach into the pocket to draw.

However, you are now married to a man-bag; which are cool are cool in some parts of yurp (Balkans, Italy). Mebbe not cool where y'all habitate (YMMV).

I'm not trolling here – but I am worried that having to sport some "iron" means yet another thing to have to remember not to forget – such as smart-phone, card wallet, car keys, house keys, e-bike battery key, bike d-lock key, cash, work-id, work-key-fob, alcohol-gel, fags, lighter, pen, etc, etc. Oh yeah – have I remembered to load some rounds into the magazine? Does the magazine spring still work? Should I clean and lubricate the "iron" more than my bike chain?

I've also seen a very ordinary-looking small leather fanny pack with two zippered compartments, one for the stuff Stoppage listed, and one that comfortably held a Glock 17.

Just unzip the correct zipper, slip your hand in, and draw. You do have to be sure that you're actually drawing what you intend.

Hmm, they don't make one to fit my .44 Smith & Wesson. I'll stick with my shoulder holster.

Also being a bigger man, I'm not fond of IWB holsters. When I carried a small Taurus .380, it fit in my pocket, so it wasn't an issue, but now I carry an S&W M&P Shield compact 9mm with Veridian laser. The laser has an "instant on" feature that allows it to spring to life when drawn without you having to push any button, but it has to be used with a compatible holster. Luckily, I was able to find a compatible OWB paddle holster that fits it.

The other carry piece I had (before getting the S&W) was a .40 subcompact Glock 27. I carried it in a universal holster similar to this one: link

Question – if you have the appropriate license – can you carry a rifle on a gun rack on the parcel-shelf of your saloon/hatchback/estate/combi automobile?

Varies widely depending on the jurisdiction.

You can in Washington State, so long as the rack itself can be locked.
