"Cue spooky music and roll the credits. China's version of the Covid-19 horror story is starting to resemble an episode from The X-Files. The 1990s sci-fi series turned conspiracy theories into compelling viewing by dressing up escapism into award-winning entertainment. Yet real life plotlines can be just as bizarre such as Beijing's claim that the origin of the coronavirus epidemic might "not" be China…" Main page link Amicalement Armand

Not surprising given the way news is "massaged" by the ChiCom government. |

I heard last night that we get 95% of our medical supplies from China, and apparently they are now turning back ships, and not shipping other items that are needed to combat it, so………. Add that one to your list of anecdotes for good (or bad, depending upon your point of view) conspiracy fodder. |

OK, try this one on for size? Ever hear of a "blue" rose? It's a mutant, the petals are blue. After several generations the mutation disappears and the subsequent roses are red. Let's suppose that the Chinese are messing around with weaponizing a relatively innocuous virus and it gets away from them. The first victims are in the area when the mutation is strong so they get a 30% mortality. Now the mutation has gone through numerous generations and mutations and has weakened considerable so the mortality now is around 1%. Hmmm? |

Update from the PRC on COVID-19 … Yeah Right !!! link |

So why have the Chinese flown supplies, including free ventilators, and experienced personnel into Italy to help them in the north where mortality is running at 6%? |

Good question, if that in fact is true ? The media is full of misinformation and bias. |

Y'know it never ceases to amaze me, the hysteria and hype everyone running around like Chicken Little. Every year around this time i.e. the cold and flu season, some one comes up with a new version of the flu. Look it up, every year, a new version of the flu, every two years a there is a new epidemic. Corono-virus has infected a couple million and killed several hundred thousand. Bird flu, swine flu, H1N1, Hong Kong flu, etc, etc. infected countless millions and killed several million. The common flu kills millions every year but only one of those was declared a pandemic by WHO, corono-virus! To hell with WHO! I wanna know WHY? This whole thing has evolved into a completely political circus. Schools closing, public events being canceled, sporting event being cancelled, parks closing. Does anyone remember anything being cancelled or closed in the last 30 years because of the flu. Yes, I said it, this is just the FLU!! This is, after all, the cold and FLU season. Of course COVID-19 sounds so much more sinister, like something out of a sci-fi movie, flu is sooo pedestrian. Yes, COVID-19 has killed many elderly, the average age of those who died, in the US anyway, is 80 years old. ANYONE 80 years old gets a cold let alone the common flu they at a severe risk. Lets all calm down, take a deep breath, this is NOT as bad as they want us to believe it is. If you are elderly, take the usual precautions that you have probably been taking for several years. |

The media is full of misinformation and bias. TV footage of them arriving in Italy and their pallets of aid being unloaded, and interviews alongside with chief Italian medical personnel thanking them for their help and expertise which they've provided. I think that is enough proof for me. Are you all so deeply suspicious of everything in the US that you believe everything is a conspiracy? |

The same reason you juggle the handle if your toilet is running. Parochial self-interest. link |

I think that is enough proof for me. Are you all so deeply suspicious of everything in the US that you believe everything is a conspiracy? No, not generally and I'm glad to hear it is actually occurring. But with China being so very "guarded" in many details about COVID-19 as it is on many other topics generally. As well as some in China believe the US Army somehow brought COVID-19 to their country ? It is hard for me and others not to be circumspect about much of what comes out of China. There is also thread on the UM Boards entitled "US summons Chinese ambassador over coronavirus conspiracy". Sounds interesting and it appears it may back up my feelings. [I'm banned from the UM boards so I have not read it]. The media is full of misinformation and bias. If you saw the daily 24 hrs. news feeds on US TV. That have been going on for a very long time. You really can't believe a lot of things you see and/or is said in the media. Especially if many like me who go to different news networks thru out the day. You begin to believe the reporters, journalists, politicians, pundits, etc., are talking about two different countries or even planets. And this is nothing new …
And IIRC, didn't the Swine flu, SARS, and some others came from the PRC ? |
Legion 4 | 14 Mar 2020 3:27 p.m. PST |
Just saw on the news, from a very good source, the PRC Communist Party is saying the COVID-19 came from the US. This is not a limited storyline going on there. But once again seems like from Chinese "Propaganda". Classic Communist disinformation campaign. |

Well yes, the rulers are worried that civil unrest will result from their less than open attitude about the virus and where, why and how it started, to the point where the one party state might actually be in peril. |

Yes in many cases with, e.g. the PRC, Russia, North Korea, Cuba and Iran, much of what is stated by those regimes is for "local consumption". Regardless of the "veracity" of it. The average "man on the street" is uninformed, for a number of reasons. Even in the USA, it amazing what the population does not know or want to know. And not because it is classified as much isn't. I.e. Most information in the USA is generally in readily accessible. |
